Lateral Movement of Clubs

13th October 2016
Lateral Movement of Clubs
The FA have asked the League to send the following information to our Member Clubs in this Step 7 League.  It does apply to all levels from Step 2 to Step 7.

It relates to the possibility of Clubs switching Leagues at the end of this season 2016 - 2017

This communication is to remind Clubs that it may be necessary at the end of the current season 2016 - 2017 to consider the lateral movement of clubs between Leagues at the various Steps within the National League System. Whilst it is too early to be more specific at this stage this communication is advance warning that this could occur and that your club may be one of the clubs that will be moved. We would remind you that the provision for lateral movement is included in the current Regulations for the operation of the National League System.

REGULATIONS FOR THE OPERATION OF THE NATIONAL LEAGUE SYSTEM

4 Rules and Regulations for promotion and relegation

The LC shall provide for the seasonal promotion, relegation or lateral movement of Clubs. A League must be committed to promoting and relegating Clubs at the conclusion of each playing season.

"New Era" at the County Ground

29th August 2016

A new era is about to begin at the County Ground as the ground undergoes a major redevelopment to turn the existing grass pitch into a state of the art 3G stadia complex.

Following a successful application by Dorset FA to the Football Foundation for funding, construction work on the new 3G stadia complex began the week commencing 23rd May 2016. With the facility due to be completed by the start of the 2016-17 season this is an exciting time for the ground and for the local community.

The Dorset County Football Association took over the lease of the County Ground on 1st April 1989. Following extensive building work to the old school building to make it into a two storey building The Dorset Football Association head quarters were officially opened on 3rd August 1991. The County Ground now serves as a focal point for football development in Dorset.

With the opening of the new facility will come opportunities for community and club engagement, with the County FA providing on site opportunities for coaches, referees, officials and players to take part in development programmes.

In addition to the community provision Hamworthy United FC will continue to sub lease the pitch at the County Ground from the County FA.

World Record Holder

22nd December 2015

UNLIKELY lad Graeme Rose could have fired himself into the record books after performing an incredible goalscoring feat for Swanage Town & Herston FC.

The Poole-based frontman has hit four hat-tricks in a row for the Dorset Premier League side, equalling the mark set by former Japanese international Masashi Nakayama in 1998. Nakayama registered no fewer than 16 efforts in four games for Jubilo Iwata in the J League with his scoring heroics now recognised in the Guinness Book of World Records.

Rose banked trebles against Cranborne, Blandford United in the DPL Cup and Westland Sports before he bagged another hat-trick in Swans' 6-0 thrashing of Bridport reserves at Day's Park on Saturday 19th  December, which included a penalty.

The 29-year-old, a project manager for insurance company LV, could become the outright world-record holder when Swanage meet Hamworthy United Reserves at the County Ground on Saturday, January 2.

ALL eyes will be on the home of the Hammers that day to see if Graham can claim the outright World Record.
